There is no reason for any of you to read this but in the interest of completeness, I posted a story for a Chinese film: Looking at the stars, Better Days (2019), Liu Beishan/Chen Nian.
The movie is one of the best of the year - I saw it twice - but all of the fic is in Chinese (for obvious reasons) and it’s making me a little crazy.
Also, Duolingo & Chinese fandom is starting to pay off; they have Jackson Yee’s character name wrong on IMDb & I noticed it *and* knew exactly why it happened. (Xiao - while obviously a surname what up XZ - can also be an indicator of affection/familiarity/intimacy. So his name is Liu Beishan, but it it spoke to their relationship when she called him xiao-Bei. Doesn’t make it his name, though, IMDb!) Progress?
