Remus was never an easy person to be friends with, disappearing at odd times and returning with odder stories. He had learned quickly to hold himself at a distance from other people, but distance wasn't something that James and Sirius understood. They broke through his walls and his secrets, pushing on through, leaving upheaval behind them.
In their wake, though, came Peter, small and quiet. On mornings after wolf nights, he would slip into the hospital wing with a glass of orange juice snitched from the kitchens. He waited as Remus drank it, talking of everything and nothing. Just easy.

Mandy found them tucked behind archival editions of Hogwarts: A History. Madam Pince must have known they were there, but the lack of classification and protection spells made Mandy suspect these volumes to be a part of a less official collection. It was unlikely the librarian would advertise this loss, so she hid one in her robes as she left the library.
When she met Ginny that evening, they paged through the pulp novel, reading bits of Beebo's adventures aloud in hushed tones, nervous giggles giving way to quickened breathing of another sort and electricity where they touched.

The lure of Remus/Peter is what brought me here, a boy was I not let down. The fem slash was a nice little pick-me-up as well.
