sirius/bellatrix
she kisses him for the first time in a closet he didn't even know existed, kisses him in the dust and shadows because that's what cousins are for. she kisses him and their teeth click and he thinks he can hear narcissa laughing downstairs, laughter like ice running through his veins, burning cold, burning through him shuddering. bella's pressing her knee between his thighs, he's gasping as she bites his lower lip and says see you at dinner.
she's gone with a pop and sirius falls back against the wall, pushes aside his robes, the memory of her cold, heavy-lidded eyes searing through him as he finishes, a few strokes and a twist, then a muttered cleaning charm to save far too knowing looks from kreacher.
bella's fucking insane, but so is the rest of this family, and love and hate are not so very far apart when you're fifteen.
xander/dom
dom can't believe that xander never learned to surf. xander also does not eat sushi, but he does play video games, and he has those arms, and so dom thinks he can be forgiven. just this once.
the arms help a lot. and the kitten mouth, but dom will never tell him that.
he also thinks xander might be worried about the eye thing, and so he points out that pirates do ok on the water and all. he has it on good authority. from orlando. at which point xander does that whole american nervous talking thing, and dom kisses him to shut him up.
everyone benefits from that.
dom decides to start small, california roll for the sunnydale boy. there's plenty of time ahead for sashimi, surfing and sand, wetsuits and handjobs.
well, dom thinks, long fingers stealing xander's ability to form words, perhaps not everything has to wait.
harry/neville
neville is still soft, soft skin, soft eyes. harry thinks he'll always be. neville's golden, though, from the sun and the greenhouses. it embarrassed him, of course, neville's always embarrassed and at first it was blistered red, burning pink. it peeled away like muggle skin does at the seaside, since neville didn't dare attempt the healing potion, not even after all this time.
now they're lying together, harry has one hand on neville's belly, sneaking under his shirt while the fingers of the other hand are tracing patterns on neville's arms. harry thinks if he tried he could rub away the gold with his thumb, rub away the porcelain underneath, down to the rich earth hiding away, fertile with the oldest magic, the creation that saved them. harry hums something ancient, and neville turns to him, sleepy-eyed, kisses him on the forehead, and asks him not what he was thinking.
ron/draco
he calls him the weasel, sneers up one side and down the other, checks out his arse as only a malfoy can. he's not sure when ron changed, but he did, maybe when those idiot brothers of his ran away. he's broken from their shadow, broken from himself, strong and solid and with a way of holding his head that makes draco forget to breathe.
confidence.
draco spends his nights digging up old hate, running through the tired reasoning, anger, prejudice. the lines are clearer than ever now, and it’s too late to cross them. he wouldn't, anyway. he's a malfoy, and that's all he has left.
he's twisting in his sheets, hands following the rhythm of the litany of reasoning, his father's words echoing as he comes, fireworks and tears in the corners of his eyes.
