It’s Xiao Zhan’s birthday (I mean, tomorrow here, but today in China), so despite the fact that less than two months ago I said I wasn’t doing RPS anymore, it appears that was bullshit because here we are.

In other news I now have Weibo *and* Douyin so I guess if China wants to track me more than they already are, they’re welcome to it. The thing is, I started working on Mandarin earlier this year, so it provides a great feedback loop, like, it’s okay that I’m plunging headfirst into a Chinese fandom because I can work on *~language skills~*. It’s a little bullshit but also not entirely. (I’d like to get more serious about learning, but it looks like there are only private language classes, & our mayor quietly cut the employee development program so I can’t get financial help from work, so. Apps & videos & pop culture it is for now.)
